WSR caught up with the mysterious yet intriguing clusterfuck from wales apparently. Who are they ? fucknose but they know ! Like a modern-day take on The Residents the identity behind this outfit are just as mysterious. Here at WSR we took the challenge to peer behind and see what we could uncover with this interview. Did we succeed?
WSR – So tell us more, give some Clusterfuck info?
Clusterfuck – We don’t know what we are doing.
WSR – Why is music like dirt?
Clusterfuck – This music is coz its dirty. Like rough, shitty, real and earthy.
WSR – You manage to weave electro and funk together perfectly, is Clusterfunk a voice to speak out? What do you see Clusterfuck as?
Clusterfuck – An explosion of rage and love ejaculated into an mp3 for your lughole. Like it or not, we don’t give a fuck.
WSR – And why the mask, why do you hide behind a mask?
Clusterfuck – Oh Pestis? He’s very shy.
WSR – What is the voice of hope that you give your fans?
Clusterfuck – There is no hope. Be yourself and express every aspect of yourself. Never ever hide from the darkness. Purge!!
WSR – What were the festivals that gave birth to Clusterfuck?
Clusterfuck – Every field we visited between 2010-2013, and connected.
WSR – How has your debut album been received so far?
Clusterfuck – People seem to be fucking loving it. We think its ok. But we can do better.
WSR – All politicians are thieving liars, so what do you feel is alternative to them and how should the UK be run?
Clusterfuck – Put Corbyn in power see what happens, and kill the bullies. Fucknose. Who knows? Try new shit tho.
WSR – What is the biggest problem in the UK apart from who is running it?
Clusterfuck – Religious dogma and social conditioning.
WSR – Around Christmas you made your EP pay what you want, why did you decide to let people pay whatever they want and not pay a set price?
Clusterfuck – Because most people are skint. So why not make it affordable to everybody?
WSR – What was the result of the pay what you like sale, did it help cover the cost of the production of the album?
Clusterfuck – Yeah everything is covered, including the videos. Now we need to get some more money from somewhere to burn CDs and press vinyl. Fucknose where that’s coming from.
WSR – What do you truly hope to achieve from the music of Clusterfuck?
Clusterfuck – TOTAL HONESTY TO THE CORE. And letting out all the pain. As the first EP said, Better Out Than In…….and if this resonates, bonus.
WSR – What’s the best thing about Wales?
Clusterfuck – John.
WSR – What’s the one thing you can’t go without buying when you are on holiday?
Clusterfuck – A mankini obviously.
WSR – Who would you listen to the most out of this lot. Kevin Bloody Wilson, The Bee Gees, Abba, The Macc Lads, Spice Girls, S Club 7 or Goldie Looking Chain?
Clusterfuck – We often get down to the Bee Gees before a recording session. Big Fans.
