Gemini Syndrome Lux Review

“This isn’t really an album that I can rate as a rating wouldn’t do it justice.
IT’S A FUCKING METAL MASTERPIECE, graceful yet garrotting.

Gemini Syndrome have been very secretive about this album and now they are ready to unleash the beast on the world just what is it like?  Well read on and you shall find out just exactly what Phlis thinks about it. The album starts with Pleasure And Pain which is rip roaring way to start, amazing heavy guitar riffs with anger in vocals along with the wonderful harmonies akin too.  This is the start of what has potential to be a very good album if this quality continues.

Basement follows and I will be honest it has remnants of very early work from the mighty Disturbed.  Vocals fit perfectly in with decent chugging guitars.  Basement easily flows between a very slight anarchy of everything into a very easy flowing metal track.  Basement is both clever and ingenious in its composition.

Falling Apart is a great track that gets your foot tapping, vocals and music work in unison here to provide a track that is wonderful in all aspects.  Gemini Syndrome in three songs are proving their worth, after three songs I am finding I really like this album.

The fourth offering on this album is Resurrection, this track carries lovely dark undertones in the guitar and bass work here.  It all is just a cover for the full on onslaught of the feeling of the song.  I love the this track Resurrection, what a blinding track this is.

Stardust is nothing less than a masterpiece, it starts to get the energy flowing and then gives it smooth flow with the arrangement of the track.  It’s not a brutal offensive track but more one that you could slam for a while to but yet not leave your brain on the floor.  There are elements of the influences of the band here but yet there is a certainty that is Gemini Syndrome which is something that appears in each track.

Mourning Star is full of emotion that you can feel as you listen to it, this track is bewitching and very graceful in its composition.  Wow, Gemini Syndrome are really showing their skill here with their ability to mould music and feelings together.  There is slight, only slight element of ailment in here too.

It’s hard to describe Left Of Me in the way that it Gemini Syndrome, as the album continues you are finding that they definitely have their own sound.  The very distinct vocals and guitars mix in perfect harmony, both are very clever and very well put together.

1278389_176360839218239_1951260362_nI really like Pay For This, it’s got a really immense beat which I feel is a mosh pit masterpiece.  This is the sort of track that provides you with skull splitting groves that will leave you with your brain on the floor after you have finished slamming to Pay For This.  So go on and pick up your brain, put it back in your head 😀

Take This starts with nothing less than a harmonious lyrical infection, it’s not a heavy track by any means.  It has a very wondrous tastefulness that carries on the entirety of the song.

With Babylon and a few others there is a slight hint of Tool in the track which is very refreshing to your ears.  One thing you will notice with all Gemini Syndrome tracks is that the formation of the tracks is very well thought out and the architecture is perfect.
Syndrome tell about strength from the inside, a strength overall in my mind is the music from Gemini Syndrome.  It’s a track that just fills you with a combination of anger and a relation to the theme of the music.  It’s very much a blood pumping song.

Lux is the perfect ending to this album, it has a wonderful orchestral background with is endorsed by the feeling of the music that accompanies it.  It’s a short and sweet wave goodbye to a very good album.

Gemini Syndrome are a band that if you are a fan of metal then you can’t help but like, I can foresee a very bright future for these guys.  I really can see why these guys were snapped up by a big record label, we are going to be hearing a lot more from them that is a certainty.

This isn’t really an album that I can rate as a rating wouldn’t do it justice.  IT’S A FUCKING METAL MASTERPIECE, graceful yet garrotting.  It is pleasant on the ear at some part yet others it will leave you with your brain on the floor with you wondering what just happened when the music stops.  If you are a metal fan it’s a must buy album that’s all I can say.
