After putting the band to ground one night TFC mutated in its slumber to give us the exotic ghouls now known as <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Moira Scar<\/span>, joined by <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Ryan Bonus Beast<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Moira Scar do not think outside the box when it comes to writing music they run the box through an industrial shredder leaving them a blank canvas to create their dark and haunting music.<br \/>\nMoira Scar reside everywhere and somewhere they \u00a0are truly out there!<\/p>\n<p>Following on from &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">\u00a0Excerpts From The Holy Scumbrella <\/span>&#8211; the Scars debut album and &#8211;\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Slink To Intensity<\/span> &#8211; their second album<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Scarred for Life<\/span>, is Moira Scar\u2019s third album that brings \u00a0a colourful and<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/moira-scar-scarred-for-life-album-review\/roxy-bw\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1625\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1625\" alt=\"roxy B&amp;W\" src=\"http:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/roxy-BW-192x300.jpg\" width=\"192\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/roxy-BW-192x300.jpg 192w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/roxy-BW.jpg 616w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 192px) 100vw, 192px\" \/><\/a>sinister sound with imagery \u00a0and masks to compliment providing \u00a0a full and intense experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the opening track, a psychedelic stomp via the gritty bass of <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">De Monster\/A-Tiff<\/span> and the jazzy punk of <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Miss Funktion<\/span>, we are informed from the start that Moira Scar do not do conventional whilst the aptly titled <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Space Time Resonators<\/span> gives us Moira Scar taking it up a notch to give us a psych rock blasting with all the hhallmarks of a gothic space opera.<\/p>\n<p>The title track <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Scarred for Life<\/span>, starts with a haunting beat leading us along death march till midway the Scars flip the sound to a twisted rock out leading us on to the fun and haunting sound of <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Telepathos.<br \/>\nTransblister<\/span> is like Nirvana for freaks, a heady mix of psych punk grunge and then we get thrown to <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Organ Grinder<\/span>, where the sound of the sax battles with thumping drums before we led into a dark mantra designed to raise the ghouls from the crypts. <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Reveal<\/span> continues with the mantra theme but lighter with a soothing atmospheric touch.<a href=\"http:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/moira-scar-scarred-for-life-album-review\/feb-11th-stork-06\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1614\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1614\" alt=\"feb 11th stork 06\" src=\"http:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/feb-11th-stork-06-197x300.jpg\" width=\"197\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/feb-11th-stork-06-197x300.jpg 197w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/feb-11th-stork-06.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 197px) 100vw, 197px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moira Scar, leave us with <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Taratula Tangoid<\/span>, which doesn\u2019t so much feel as it\u2019s the end of the album but more that this track is leading you back in, in to a dark, strange land of a disturbing parade, where clowns peer from the shadows and sideshow attractions are ready to snatch you into a fun thrilled carnival of the macabre.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the album the trio repeatedly swap rolls and instruments, Lu Lu\u2019s operatic vocals at times hints of<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> Siouxsie Sioux<\/span> and<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> Danielle Dax<\/span> where Roxy\u2019s at times leans to voice of<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> Nina Hagen<\/span>.<br \/>\nLike <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Throbbing Gristle \u2013 Alien Sex Fiend &#8211; The Residents<\/span> and other bands before them that dared to break the rules for an original sound, Moira Scar are not the easiest band to listen to at first but given the chance their music quickly infects you like healthy bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t be scared for life but get Scarred for Life!
