Christopher decided on the islands of Hawaii as his place to be born, we converged finally.\u00a0 Eventually and with great relief on the London Underground, c was busking and I was loosing my mind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/ruby-throat-interview\/ruby10\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1937\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1937\" alt=\"ruby10\" src=\"http:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10.jpg 500w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10-64x64.jpg 64w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/wickedspinsradio.org\/wsr2012\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/ruby10-400x400.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 So what brought Christopher to London?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 The weather<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 What was it that drew you to Christopher and made you want to create music with him?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 That day I prayed with the most clear intent that I had in me. \u00a0C\u2019s music came to me down the tunnels, across the universe, everything shifted.\u00a0 There and then, I found I was suddenly able to tie my own shoelaces.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 At what point in your life did you decide to form your band and why?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 I have always been sustained and \u2018made well\u2019 by the wonder and exquisite detail found in white noise, wind, water, air conditioning units, tube trains, a tiny vast unlimited music, sensuality in the detail and a hunger for utter \u2018presence\u2019 that music insists on. I am just about conscious therefore I have the compulsion to leave a mark on a cave wall.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 And what do you feel is the mark you will leave on the wall of the cave?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 Thankfully my solipsism abates, perhaps something continues in the form of a child.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Why did you decide on the name of Ruby Throat?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 A hummingbird spoke to me.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Who besides yourself is in the band and what background are they from?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 C is from poetry and deduction.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 And what musical life have you had so far?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 My baby sings before she can talk, music is the original language.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 How does Christopher\u2019s poetry and deduction manifest itself in your music?<\/p>\n<p><span #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 The devastating and magical experience of opening my eyes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Do your dreams ever provide you any influence for your music?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 Loosening of tethers afforded on waking is where I like to work from.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 How would you describe the music you make?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 I choose not to reflect, keep on cutting the threads as I go (before they make a rope with which to hang), the self consciousness of self analysis in my experience is a willful opting for calipers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 What feeling would you hope people feel when they listen to your music?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 I don\u2019t hope for that<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Is there any music about that really stirs good emotion within you?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 The elements are my preferred listening, sinking into the minutia<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Where do you see your band in five years and what are your hopes for the future?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 Our sailboat \u2018Iona\u2019 is about to go back in the water, future Ruby Throat dispatches will be posted from somewhere in the south pacific.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 What is it about the South Pacific that draws you there?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 I think it\u2019s probably more about the journey rather than the&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Is there any place or venue you would like to play at and why?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 It ain&#8217;t where you are, it\u2019s where you\u2019re at or \u2018not at\u2019 to be more accurate.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Do you like to play to big or small audiences?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 Closer to the mirror the better for me.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 Describe your ultimate gig?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 One where the music sings me.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 What place in this world would you like to play your music?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">RT<\/span> \u2013 A place where the past makes no claim on me.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WSR<\/span>\u2013 If you could take your music to any period in
