Breed 77 Live At NQ Live in Manchester 7th March 2013
Breed 77 are a band that I have seen live on a few occasions, all of which I have been nothing but blown away by. They have an awesome stage presence backed up by some of the greatest music you will ever hear. They pack so much into the show I really don’t know why the show doesn’t just overflow ha ha.
So what about this time? Well it was a cold March day and we were stood outside NQ waiting on Rob to grab us as we had an interview with Breed 77. Needless to say when interviewing Danny we were treated like royalty, Breed are not only an amazing band but they are a sound bunch of guys too. Interview over we then interviewed Seven Deadly, again an amazing bunch of guys to say the least. Out in the wilds of NQ we began to listen to the amazing music.
Time came for Breed 77’s set, they ripped into Drown closely followed by Blind. The crowd was alive and the music was to perfection. Looking For Myself came next and you could feel the atmosphere of the club just lift. Breed did as they always do and keep the crowd going. The songs flowed with perfection playing Hatin and Bring On The Rain, Breed had played 3 new tracks to woo us. Then came a true Breed 77 classic when they played World’s On Fire, the whole crowd were singing along with Breed as this was played. From the new material played The Evil Inside which is the new album from Breed was sounding pretty immense but the best was awaiting. Breed then played Poison, a cover of the Alice Cooper track which is also on The Evil Inside if you get the special edition. It’s a track that everyone knows and loves to which it got an amazing response.
Two more new tracks were yet to come next, Fear was immaculate. But then Breed being Breed they threw in what has to be one of the most beautiful music tracks I have ever heard. They played a track called Motionless and I must admit I was nearly brought to tears. Motionless is a track that only Breed 77 could write and pull off, they wooed everyone with Motionless. Breed then played another classic in the form of Insects finishing their set with another new track from the new album called Low.
As Breed left the stage the crowd was shouting for more, we needed more. Breed 77 came back on stage and gave us an encore. What an encore it was, with the last 2 tracks Breed showed just how great their stage presence truly is. The crowd sung with delight La Ultima Hora, this is a true Breed masterpiece. They finished with their spin on the classic track Zombie, again they had all of us singing along with the track.
I must admit I have seen Breed 77 many times, but they are a band that continues to impress you. I cannot and will never fault Breed 77 in any way. They have their own signature sound that only they can provide, no one can emulate the amazing sound of Breed 77.
