US industrial shock rocker Davey Suicide has just released his self titled debut album onto the worlds masses. His album had been one of the most anticipated album of 2013, Davey is also touring the US this year. So what happened when Wicked Spins Radio caught up with Davey, read on and you shall find out.

WSR – Hi Davey, thank you for giving Wicked Spins Radio this interview, can you tell our readers a little bit about yourself?

Davey – I woke up one day and realized it was my duty to give fans a place to go when no-one else is there to listen. Hence, Davey Suicide.

WSR – How has your single Generation Fuck Star faired so far since you set it on the world?

Davey – I think it’s like anything polarizing. The ones that get it are already on board and the masses are still waiting for the universal head nod to accept us.

WSR – What is the most embarrassing thing you have done in life?

Davey – I’m not embarrassed by anything I’ve done because they have been moments vital in sculpting me as a person

WSR – How’s writing of the new album coming on?

Davey – We’ve started demos and the ideas are flowing. It’s effortless to write with this band.

WSR – I really hate genres, but prefer to ask how you describe your music. So how would you choose to describe your music?

Davey – We’re a gutter goth steam punk monster.

WSR – You are a very busy man, how do you find time to relax and when you do how do you relax?

Davey – I find a day or two here and there to watch Sportscenter and I force myself to put my phone away. It’s a rare moment but I do enjoy them when they come.

WSR – You play guitar and are an excellent vocalist too, but is there any instrument that you would love to learn how to play?

Davey – Piano is the most interesting instrument to me because it embodies so many voicing’s.

WSR – I feel it is bang out of order the way that alternative folk get shit just because we maintain our own individuality and dress the way we want, not like the other lost sheep following the rest of the herd. What is the one thing that you would like to all those idiots that give us all shit?

Davey – I’d like to apologize to them for having individuality but I’m not sorry.

WSR – A lot of your artwork features the legend Bela Lugosi, now everyone who watches horror knows about SAW and stuff. What is it about Bela Lugosi that appeals to you?

Davey – He’s a legendary figure that’s remained relevant for many generations.

WSR – We all have comfort clothing that we just wear and laze about in, what is your comfort clothing?

Davey – Black sweats, hoodie and a wife beater are it for me.
